Pidgin is updated to 2.4.1-1+b1 in Debian Sid for the fixed libnss3-1 dep, these are the “msnp14 enabled and custom smiley patch applied” packages.

These are the pidgin 2.4.1-1 packages for Debian Sid with msnp14 enabled and the custom smiley patches.
**CAUTION** THESE PACKAGES ARE EXTREMELY EXPERIMENTAL. USE THEM AT YOUR OWN RISK.
這些是開啟了 msnp14 選項，並且加上了自訂表情圖示 patches 的 pidgin 2.4.1-1 (for Debian Sid)。

Metacity with Composite

對常常開數個 gnome-terminal 比對或 coding 但螢幕不夠大的我來說，有支援 composite 的環境實在是福音，gnome-terminal 的背景可以真正的透明，就不用為了看幾個被遮到的字元而來來回回地切換。
因此，有好一陣子我使用 compiz fusion。不過最近又喜歡簡單點，所以換回 metacity，但是偏偏它不支援 composite，實在是兩難啊…
GNOME 2.22 最近開始陸續進入 Debian Sid 中，今天早上更新時發現 metacity 2.22.0 也進來了，聽說這個版本是支援 composite 的，因此迫不及待地更新了。
重啟 metacity 後，咦? 為什麼還是沒有 composite 呢? 不死心，上 Google 拜一拜看看，果然，在這裡找到了資訊。
只要開啟組態編輯器或是直接使用 gconftool，將 /apps/metacity/general/compositing_manager 設為 true，然後再重啟 metacity 就搞定囉!
